Injury Prevention In The Workplace
Injuries have causes...they do not simply come about through fate or bad luck...it is generally accepted that over 90% of injuries are due to human factors. Improving and maintaining positive safety attitudes amongst your employees is the key to limiting accidents within the workplace. Health & Safety should be everyone's business and 'smart' organisations are realising that a well developed Health & Safety culture is "good for business"...
Effective Injury Prevention requires a multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary approach. Our IMNZ consultants are able to work to assist client organisations with tailor-made programmes to meet specific needs and ensure a systematic approach to the ongoing reduction of risk.
Wellnz Injury Prevention Initiatives:
Wellnz initiatives with our clients will often include:
- Development of a Health & Safety Improvement Plan to support health & safety "culture" and comply with all relevant legislation.
- External Audits of current workplace safety management practices and reporting on findings with recommended improvements.
- Site Hazard Surveys and the development of effective control plans to effectively reduce risk within the client organisation.
- Compliance advice on changes to the Health & Safety Legislation.
- Training Programmes for management and / or staff on a wide variety of subjects. Examples include:

- ACC Partnership Programme workshops.

Wellnz's Guiding Principles:
Our guiding principles are simple; at Wellnz we aim to establish a self-sustaining safety and health loss prevention ethos within our client organisations. As far as possible we like to utilise in-house management knowledge and skills, while always providing required advice and support. This approach brings a sense of awareness and accountability and 'ownership' for managing risk. |
