Workplace Safety Management Practices (WSMP)

Developed to encourage employers to create and maintain safer workplaces. Employers in this programme receive discounts on standard premiums in return for implementing systems and processes to improve workplace safety.

Organisations participating in the ACC Partnership Programme (ACCPP) are also eligible for this discount, which is assessed on observed workplace safety and rehabilitation systems and practices.

It is not necessary to be in the ACCPP to enter the WSMP programme.

The WSMP audit tool has three measurable levels of performance, each with its own discount on the base premium:
